Bamboo Laundry Hamper

Most laundry baskets are plastic, and in a flat where the washing basket lives in the bedroom or the hallway, that is a thing you have to look at every day.

This one is bamboo with a removable liner, so it holds a full load without looking like storage. Lift the liner out, carry it to the machine, drop it back in.

Why it works in a small home

• Looks like furniture rather than utility, so it can sit out in a bedroom or bathroom.
• Removable liner means you carry the washing, not the basket.
• Natural material rather than moulded plastic.
